Responsibilities
- The Founding Back-end Lead Engineer is one of our most important hires, and will be the lead for all Back-end development
- This includes user data and signatures storage, smart contract design, trustless verifiable credentials generation, zero knowledge circuitry, and AI and recommendation pipelines, as well as any future directions that we collectively decide to prioritize as part of our mission to build useful applications that promote a better model of internet user data through self-sovereign identity.
- You will be working in close collaboration with Jack, our UX lead, Dan, our product lead and CEO, and Eli, our FE engineering lead, who's also the creator of Neutrino and Webpack Chain.
Qualifications
- Experience architecting elegant solutions to difficult problems
- Expertise in Rust or similar backend systems, proficiency at Solidity and Hardhat/Foundry, and interfacing with frontend applications
- Experience building, scaling, and securing distributed systems, ideally involving user data and/or machine learning
- Experience designing zero-knowledge circuits or other applied zero knowledge or privacy-preserving cryptography strongly preferred.
- Required: Domestic US or Canada based, NYC preferred
- Bonus: Experience with DevOps or cloud computing environments
Familiarity with crypto/web3 required.
